I could go for more rain now... It is going to get hot for the next week or so...

Well went apartment hunting with my mom today. Viewed one that was basically a dorm room with a bathroom and kitchen attached... But it was only $300 a month so ya, you get what you pay for. Now another one that we stopped at on a whim is more like $425 a month and it has a kitchen, living room and bedroom. Much better. I'm thinking that is the one for sure. Got to call the guy back tomorrow and tell him I want it and then go through the steps to get it. Oh also got my insurance stuff today. oO Should be interesting. Looks like a good plan though.

Been wasting time on my new PS3 so many great games I missed out on. Infamous 1 is really enjoyable so far and R&C quest for booty is rooty tooty point and shooty fun!

I would stay with my parents if at all possible but a 45 minute commute to work and then again back from work? Everyday? No thank you. I would rather have a place closer to my job. May be more expensive but more practical.

I have thought about getting a PS3 but I can't justify it. Just have stuck with my 360.

45 minutes is a cake walk---my dad used to drive an hour, my sister STILL complains about her hour+ commute. (most of the jobs I have been looking at are more than 45 minutes away ...which is part of why I am not taking them--between gas and upkeep of the car, min wage just wont cover it)...

but its always good to try being on your own...

ah I can remember our first apartment....and the large roaches that came with it--ok, lets not remember that!

It's 45 minutes through Peoria traffic though... Not exactly the best drivers in the world. And ya, the whole gas and car upkeep is something that would quickly drive up the cost. So ya, just better to get my own place.

This place looks pretty nice, upstairs apartment and I didn't see any roaches.

I can honestly say I hate roaches. We have this tiny ones but the pigs are immune to poison. If you fumigate the place they think it's a smoke party. It's a nightmare to get rid of them.

ish where i live the roaches carry switchblades and will rob you for your wallets. damn Mexicans. lol i mean roaches. ha ha ha. but then gain on the rain subject... we could use more rain here in Texas. even though the humidity level here in Houston is outrageous.

our first apartment in the wonderful armpit of the midwest (usa) we had 5 different kinds of roaches...including huge ones that FLEW (kinda like the mukade of japan or palmento bugs of florida)....and yeah, I hate them too...sooo glad we moved out of there to a place with NONE (roaches like 2 things: water and cardboard, take away the water and they dont want to stay around)....so it was nice to get away from them...though the drought we moved to wasnt much fun----

sounds like the place I had in japan--flying cockroaches! 2 inches long (but they still die if you spray them with anything soapy--cleaning supplies

)....had one I even named since I let him go the first time, but he came back with friends

and we wont even go to the huge centipedes.....(shivers)

Well I called the guy back today and sure enough, it is mine. I am going to sign the lease this weekend and give him my deposit for it. It is a nice apartment. Once I move in and get settled in the next 2-3 weeks I will be sure to post some pictures. And school starts in 4 weeks for me. I'll have about 2 weeks to get my room set up and stuff. I'll move in around August 1st so I have 2 weeks before I move in. The guy has some repairs to do before I can move in, but nothing bad. Just touch up work.

Huge centipedes?

Though these roaches are really out to get you. A friend gave me advice though 'Feed 'em till they're too fat to move.'. Still need to try that one.

Though I should probably move. Nearly got stabbed tonight, was a fun experience :/
